Dr. Ritika Malhotra is a distinguished specialist in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry with over 15 years of academic, clinical, and research excellence. She currently serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry and is widely recognized for her remarkable contributions to dental education, scientific research, and advanced clinical practices. A seasoned dentist with exceptional clinical expertise, Dr. Malhotra is admired for her precise hand skills, patient-centered approach, and excellent rapport with children. She possesses specialized expertise in laser dentistry and pediatric conscious sedation, ensuring safe, comfortable, and anxiety-free dental care for young patients.
An accomplished academician and researcher, Dr. Malhotra has authored and coauthored 10 books with renowned national and international publication houses and has nearly 40 national and international research publications to her credit. Many more books and publications are forthcoming, reflecting her relentless dedication toward academic excellence and research advancement. She has also presented numerous faculty papers at prestigious national conferences and scientific forums, further strengthening her reputation as a dynamic contributor to the field of dentistry.
Her excellence and commitment have been recognized through several prestigious honors, including the Best Emerging Pedodontist Award, Emerging Academician in Pedodontics by Cynodent, and the Most Versatile Pedodontist Award by Dasana. Dr. Malhotra serves as a life member of the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD) and as an executive member of the Indian Dental Association (IDA). She is also an editorial board member of the Journal of Advances in Oral Health, actively contributing to the growth and dissemination of scientific knowledge in dentistry.
Passionate about advancing clinical skills and continuing dental education, Dr. Malhotra has conducted numerous specialized courses and workshops on sedation, laser dentistry, and pediatric rotary endodontics. Beyond academics, she has actively organized and participated in multiple outreach camps and awareness programs aimed at promoting oral health education within the community. As a dedicated mentor and educator, she has guided and inspired more than 1,000 students and has successfully conducted and supervised over 100 research projects, nurturing future leaders in dentistry through her vision, expertise, and mentorship.
Her leadership in “Mission Smile Rescue – Most Dentists Providing First Aid Dental Tooth Avulsion Training to Maximum School Students and Staff (Mass),” organized by Inderprastha Dental College & Hospital, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, stands as a testament to her commitment toward community dental education and social responsibility. Through her dedication and active contribution, the campaign successfully achieved a world record.
In addition to her academic and clinical accomplishments, Dr. Malhotra has secured a patent under the Government of India for her innovative work titled “3D Printing Technology for Customized Temporomandibular Joint Implants,” along with multiple copyrights for her scholarly contributions.
